This is a perso-professional blog by me, Stephen Davies, on PR, marketing, media and technology.
I work for online news distribution and monitoring company, webitpr. Prior to this I worked for the world’s largest independent PR firm, Edelman and leading consumer agency, Frank PR. I have a degree in PR from the University of Sunderland.
I’ve presented at the CIPR careers day, CIPR Northern Conference, Don’t Panic Guide to… events and BizDays in Bucharest, Romania. I’ve contributed to a global blogging whitepaper (Japanese version here) and managed the world’s first ever PR agency mobile site. I’ve also written a few articles on online PR for Profile magazine, PR Week and Behind the Spin.
At webitpr we specialise in digital media relations and serve a number of PR agency and corporate clients in the UK and Europe. I’m currently working on our version of the Social Media News Release (YouTube video here) - a new age press release which incorporates multimedia and folksonomy tools aimed at (but not exclusive to) bloggers and other forms of social media.
