Say hello to 3W PR
{ Tags: 3W PR \ Sep1 }Let me tell you a brief story. A month or two ago I began toying with the idea of setting up an online PR consultancy. Now, seeing as though I’m at the beginning of this story and I’m trying to draw you in, I wish I could make a profound statement about my reasons for doing so. I could tell you I had a vision that came to me as I was ironing my work shirts one Sunday evening or, taking a leaf out of Martin Luther King’s book, I could tell you I had a dream; a dream where little white blogs and little black blogs would join hands and, er, um, blog together. But no, I’d be fibbing.
Setting up 3W PR just felt like the right thing to do. Not just because I think it’s going to be a success but because I see it as a challenge to me on both a personal and professional level. It’s a challenge that I’m really up for, though, and over the course of setting up 3W (as I affectionately call it for short) I’ve developed a vision of where I want it to be headed. And a vision really isn’t a vision if you only think small.
So what is 3W PR? Well, in a nutshell, 3W PR is a new communications agency designed to help organisations, brands and individuals navigate through the World Wide Web. It has been introduced to meet the growing trends of how consumers are now informed and how organisations do business. More on the news release announcement.
It was spawned partly out of admiration for Stuart, Daljit , Jonathan, Katy et al - UK PR pros who I respect and admire for taking the bull by the horns and forming disruptive PR brands. And partly from the guys at webitpr and particularly chief exec, Adam, who gave me the encouraging nudge to go for it when I was tinkering with the idea, and who still continues to give me sound advice as he has done for the last 15 months. The support I’ve received from webit has been invaluable and I really didn’t expect it, particularly after informing the company I was considering leaving.
*Cue comments suggesting that maybe they wanted me to leave.*
Aah, but no, 3W PR has acquired webit as a client. So there!
Also, a big thanks to my mate Andy Wake of Don’t Panic who helped me with the logo and other elements of the branding. Top man. And if you’re looking for an event management company I can’t recommend Don’t Panic enough. Also, Kev and Jo from Ki-Media who helped me with the site.
So there you have it. This is where the hard works starts. Wish me luck. Better yet, if you’re a blogger, send the 3W PR site some Google Juice by way of a link. I’d appreciate it and you can always remind me of the favour later on down the line.
Onwards and upwards.

Dom
Congrats Stephen, I’m sure it’ll be a massive success. Does this mean you’re relocating to the South East?
Iron Mauro
You Rock mate! I will follow you closely!
Amanda Rose
Congratulations! Very exciting news. I will definitely be watching this space to see what you’re up to next. Sounds like you are definitely on the right track as this kind of vision is needed in PR.
Best wishes.
Richard Bailey
This is an exciting development: I wish you well. These are uncertain times so I can see the logic in aiming for disruption rather than banking on the status quo.
Neville Hobson
Many congratulations, Stephen, and best of luck with your new venture. You’ve come a long way since those Sunderland days.
Ben Matthews

Congratulations Stephen, very proud! Sounds like you’ve been very busy the past few months, I’ll be keeping a close eye on you and 3W from now on to see just what you cook up
And yes, is there a move to London on the cards now?
Ian Green
Good decision. While a lot of “traditional” PR companies spout on about social medja - you actually know what you are talking about and bring some real benefits to your clients.
Stay in touch and if you need any help do let me know.
Good luck.
Neil
Congratulations mate. All the best in your new venture - I’m sure you’ll do very well.
Jonathan
Wow. Congratulations! Great move - you won’t regret it. And thanks for you kind words re Shed - I’d love to think it’s disruptive. I’m up for changing this industry and helping it to help itself.

Going to leave some space for others to comment so my full thank you is over at my shiny new blog that you have so expertly helped me create http://www.showmenumbers.com/general/one-downbut-3w-to-go . For now though just wanted to get in with my thanks for everything over the last 15 months, I really have enjoyed the ride. On to a new chapter though and as you say I am 100% behind you on this and I am looking forward to you still playing a key role in helping us to advance the online agenda, whilst sitting back and admiring you helping others too. Oh and if you think I was demanding as a boss just you wait now I am the client
Michael
You did it - damn, I really admire your drive! Good luck with everything!

Late to this news due to holiday, but congratulations. You’ve started 10 years to the day that Steve Earl and I founded Rainier PR. You’re enthusiasm and drive will ensure success. Keeping a tight eye on costs and ensuring folk pay their bills will also help!
The Red Rocket
Good luck Stephen - will watch with interest on how you get on.
