Full disclaimer: This is a release that’s been put through webitpr who I work for. However, the content is related to what I generally write about.
Venture capital and private equity firm, 3i, has released a series of podcasts that include interviews with some major players in the media and online space. The podcasts detail these industry insider’s thoughts on how both the internet and the media (including offline) are mixing, merging and colliding with one another.
They’re about 10 minutes long so I’ve only listened to a couple so far. Interviewees include:
* Richard Rosenblatt - CEO, Demand Media (He used to be Chairman of the Board over at MySpace)
* Heather Hopkins - Vice President of Research, Hitwise UK (Blog here)
* Jeffrey Revoy - Vice President of Search and Social Media, Yahoo! Europe
* Peter De Moninck - Chief Strategy and Internet Officer, Reed Business
* Jeff Henry - Head of Consumer Division, ITV

Hi there Stephen,
I’ve not been here in months, but I’ve noticed you’re very popular on the blogosphere, and you/your company is starting to get heavily involved with social media/social media marketing and social media optimisation.
I’m wondering, have you read “The new rules on PR and marketing” by Scott Meerman Scott? Its a really good introduction to the concept of social media, and I agree with you on the direction of social media, or online PR is going.
My question is about the video on the about us page. What software did you use to make this? I’ve recently done a screencast presentation for a major CEO, but it wasn’t anywhere as fancy as that.
Anyway, good luck in all that you do!

Hi Amarjit,
Indeed, long time. Hope you’re well mate.
I haven’t read the book you mention. I usually absorb all the content with regard to social media online from my peers.
Re: video. It was done by a company called Big Button Media. They also produced the video on webitpr’s homepage too.
Not sure what software they used but they’re very good at what they do.

Webit’s got an office on the Quayside too. That’s where I’m based.
