1. It’s a given rule that you can’t talk to anyone you don’t know on the Tube. Except on a Thursday or Friday night after a few drinks.
2. Everybody jogs in Clapham.
3. The notion that people in the North are friendlier than those in the South is a myth.
4. The Metro is actually a quality freesheet. I prefer it to most of the tabloids.
5. No one bothers to get showered and changed before a night out. You just go straight after work.
6. Pret is literally on every corner.
7. As is Starbucks.
8. Everybody in the London PR scene loves a drink or two or three.
9. Everyone in the London PR scene knows each other either directly or indirectly.
10. You work harder and longer. But play harder and longer too.
11. Parking is a complete nightmare.
12. Tap water is nowhere near as nice compared to the North. Must be all those clean virginal rivers in t’ North.
13. The average age in London is 32.
14. It takes around six hours to drive from London to County Durham.
15. London is the most culturally diverse city in the world.
16. You’re in the tiny minority if you don’t have an mp3 player of some sort.
17.You could be wearing your trousers back to front and a t-shirt saying “I am a complete idiot” while singing Long John Silver and no one would bat an eyelid.
18. The Olympics, property prices, City bonuses and knife crime are high on the local media’s agenda.
19. The Victoria Line has the fastest Tube trains.
20. Because no list should end in an odd number.
