King Kong - what a movie!

I went to watch the new King Kong film at my local cinema yesterday and what a fantastic film it is! Directed by Peter ‘Lord of the Rings’ Jackson, the film is a remake of the 1933 classic which doesn’t disappoint. The CGI is so realistic it’s believable and some of the movie sets are out of this world.
Now, I’m not really a film buff, but this one definitely caught my imagination and is my favourite of the year - even being close to three hours long didn’t deter. There’s some great scenes in it - my favourite is when Kong is protecting the girl from three Tyrannosaurus rexs. I’m not sure how similar it is to the original but I’m sure Peter Jackson has done his best to do it justice.
If you’re considering going to watch a film, watch this one. Unless of course, you’re taking young children - even though it’s certified 12A, some scenes are quite violent and I was quite shocked why it had such a low age certificate.
