Phew!…That’s a relief!

The BBC reports that a survey from NatWest says graduate salaries are rising at the same level as student debt.
On average a student could expect to graduate with £12,640 of debt in 2005 compared to £12,180 in 2004 - the smallest rise for at least five years.
Separately, average graduate salaries have risen from £13,600 in 2004 to £14,090 in 2005.
Good to hear, but still doesn’t change the fact that I’ll be paying back my student loans when I’m middle aged!

Submitting press releases online

A few weeks ago, a friend asked me if I would write a press release for him which he wanted submitted to the local press. Of course I did, and I thought I may as well try sending it to some free online press release sites I’d picked up while surfing the net.
Since its delivery, he said he’s now receiving a lot more traffic to his site (almost double!) and it’s coming from further parts globally. I was wondering, what anyone else’s opinion (if you have one) is on submitting press releases online. I can see it benefiting worldwide ebusinesses, but for a regionally based business I don’t see it helping at all. Anyone?

Local newspapers using RSS

While doing a little research at work, I noticed that a local newspaper in my area includes RSS feeds for its website. Pretty cool! Others are doing the same also. Let’s hope the rest follow.
