Moylesy podcasting

Posted Sunday, July 31, 2005 at 12:36pm in Blogging | Leave a Comment

Chris Moyles, the host of Radio 1’s Breakfast Show and self proclaimed “saviour of British radio” has started to podcast. What does this mean? Well, given the fact that Moylesy has nine million listeners (that’s around 15% of the UK population) of 16 to 35 year olds, this can only mean that podcasting will become a term used by the ‘hip’ generation–that’s me :)

I heard him mention his podcast show no less than six times while on my hourly drive to work. Now wait for the followers!

No blogging for a while

I’m finally taking a well deserved holiday, so posting will not be happening. I’ll be gone for two weeks (possibly a little longer) so please don’t unsubscribe me from your RSS readers, as posting will resume on my return. I will however, continue to read my feeds while I’m away in the various Internet cafes.

Here’s a little photo to let you know what I’ll be up to. (Can you spot me?)

PubSub employee spamming

The MudTest blog is claiming that a PubSub employee has been spamming their blog. I wonder what Steve Rubel has to say? PubSub is his client.

UPDATE

PubSub are no longer Steve Rubel’s or CooperKatz’s client.

Following the disaster in London

Posted Friday, July 8, 2005 at 4:39pm in Blogging | Leave a Comment

From an email I received at work:

East Anglian Ambulance Service have launched a national ‘In Case of Emergency’ (ICE) campaign with the support of Falklands war hero Simon Weston and in association with Vodafone’s annual life savers award. The idea is that you store the word ICE in your mobile phone address book, and against it enter the number of the person you would want to be contacted in Case of Emergency. In an emergency situation ambulance and hospital staff will then be able to quickly find out who your next of kin are and be able to contact them. It’s so simple that everyone can do it. Please do. It really could save your life. For more than one
contact name ICE1, ICE2, ICE3 etc .
