All in one web-based RSS reader

I’ve just found this pretty cool application called MediaTuner. It’s a web-based RSS reader that will not only show your blogs, but also play podcasts, music, vlogs, audio and live audio streams. It basically does everything….including picture viewing and game playing.
It’s build around Flash, so you’ll need to download Flash Player if you haven’t already got it. To use is free and has no subscription price.
The potential for this thing is big. As podcasting and vlogging increases, this is an ideal solution to have everything in one place. However, when I first had a go at using it, it worked fine, but now I’m having trouble viewing or listening. Perhaps they have one or two issues they need to address?
Definitely worth a try though? If anyone tries it, let me know what you think of it?

It’s claiming itself as the “Google of podcasts” and its logo looks rather similar to the Google brand, but I’m not sure if it’s one of Google’s applications or not?
Still, looks like it will come in pretty handy when searching for podcasts–although, I did have a little go myself and it wasn’t overly helpful.

Firefox benefits PR bloggers

If you haven’t already started using Firefox as your main browser, it could benefit to make the switch. The second most popular browser (after IE), Firefox has all sorts of goodies to make your browsing and blogging experience a better one.
One of the great things about Firefox is its large selection of plugins, extensions and themes. There are too many to list, but from a pr blogging point of view, I’ll list some which I think are most beneficial.
1. Feedview - Shows newsfeeds and blogs in a more stylish way.
2. Bloglines toolkit - If like me, you use Bloglines as your blog role, this handy little button allows you to add any blog straight to your blog role with one click. There are other benefits too.
3. Live bookmarks - Add blogs straight to your live bookmarks.
4. Googlebar - Much the same as the IE version. Always handy when searching.
5. Spellbound - Ideal for checking your spelling (typo) mistakes when posting on blogs, forums etc.
6. Foxy Tunes - A media player built in your browser. (Not really a blogger’s benefit, but cool all the same!)
If you think there are any others worth mentioning, please post a comment.
