The business case for RSS
Posted Monday, April 25, 2005 at 1:22am in Blogging |
Rok Hrastnik discusses the importantance of blogging for business, and how more efficient blogging is compared to the regular email. He also points out that many people are put off becoming members of sites because they have to give out their email address. Where as with RSS, it’s completely anonymous.
Other benefits are:
Discovering new business and marketing opportunities; from podcasting (audio) to constant content updates that your subscribers actually want to receive.
Getting your newsletter or e-zine actually read, and not deleted or overseen.
Improving your search engine rankings.
Generating new traffic from dozens and dozens of new traffic sources.
Getting your content published on other sites.
